2. Geographical Jurisdiction of The Project:-
   
   The project area lies between latitudes of 230 North to 240-15' North and longitudes of 700 East and 720-30' East. The entire project falls in Gujarat State. The terrain is plain and major rivers falling in the project alignment are Banas, Khari and Chorwar.


3. The entire stretch of 301 km is located in Banaskantha, Patan and Kutch districts in the state of Gujarat (India).


4. The project is passing through Runn of Kutch and connecting two major Ports (Kandla & Mundra) of India to rest of Indian Railways' broad gauge network system.
